Fund Development Manager
Job Summary
The Fundraiser will focus on fund development, research, grant writing, and administrative duties. Additionally, this person will have an ask to build, maintain, and develop a personal, corporate, legacy donor list, planned giving campaigns as well as large one-off fundraising showcases will also be expected.
Reporting structure
The Fundraiser will report directly to the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Mid-Vancouver Island.

Key duties of the position (Scope/Authority/Decision-Making)
- Develop a multi-year approach to fundraising activities to ensure continuation of giving
- Develop annual corporate giving program
- Develop planned giving programs for individuals that have meaning
- Identify and develop new corporate donors
- Identify new avenues for personal giving and create new personal giving sources
- Develop meaningful recognition programs for both corporate and personal donors with acknowledgement programs
- Maintain accurate record of donor database with regular contacts
- Coordinate media contacts/press releases/media alerts (in conjunction with the ED)
- Responsible for all grant applications, administration, writing, draw requests, timelines (in conjunction with ED)
- Coordinate with volunteering resources for potential donor sources
Education, experience, and other qualifications
BA in Marketing or equivalent and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in fundraising or related field with an expectation of an outline of proposed successes is required
Salary
- Salary is commensurate with experience
- Competitive compensation with bonus potential and/or compensation structure conversations
