Kirstin was so ecstatic when her and her husband, Sean, had been selected as a Habitat Partner family, she cried.
Before applying to Habitat, the family’s living conditions had always been temporary and substandard. They faced rats, leaks, and their laundry room doubling as their daughter’s room.
“We always felt guilty for not being able to provide a safe and secure home for our daughters Everly and Addison,” said Sean.
“We worked hard but never got ahead. Knowing we will have our own home takes some of the pressure off.”
The couple had never believed they would be able to be homeowners and give their daughters the stability of a real home the desired.
“The fact that Habitat has helped our dream come true, we just don’t have words for it,” said Kirstin.
