Volunteer

Volunteers are essential to the success of Habitat for Humanity Mid-Vancouver Island. Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization, helping us achieve our mission of providing affordable homeownership to the communities we serve.

When you volunteer with Habitat, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a build site, in the ReStore (Duncan and Nanaimo), ReFresh (Nanaimo), or the warehouse. Not only is it a rewarding experience, but it’s also a chance to give back to the community, make new friends, have fun, and receive on-the-job training for all the work you undertake.

Signing up to volunteer with Habitat is easy! Simply Apply to Volunteer and we’ll be in touch! We’ll guide you through the next steps, including how to obtain your Criminal Record Check. Once processed, you can sign up for an orientation session, and then start selecting shifts to volunteer on.
