Key Responsibilities
• Develop a full calendar of events for the affiliate and ReStores
• Plan and support fundraising events, donation drives, and community engagement initiatives
• Coordinate appreciation days, key ceremonies, and milestone celebrations
• Ensure events reflect and promote Habitat MVI’s mission, impact, and programs
• Manage event logistics including venues, materials, volunteers, and timelines
• Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to promote events and campaigns
• Support donor, sponsor, and community partner engagement through events
• Assist with event-day setup, coordination, and wrap-up
• Collect feedback and evaluate event success, including participation and fundraising outcomes

Supervision & Support
The student will report to the Executive Director and receive structured onboarding, weekly supervision meetings, and ongoing mentorship. Training will include event planning processes, safety procedures, and community engagement practices.
Qualifications
• Interest in event planning, nonprofit work, fundraising, or community engagement
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Creative problem-solving and attention to detail
Eligibility (Canada Summer Jobs)
Applicants must:
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada
